KEY ACADEMIC RESOURCES - SLU

Center for Global Citizenship 134 977-9326 slu.edu/cross-cultural-center

In support of Saint Louis University's Jesuit mission, the Cross Cultural Center (CCC) collaborates with our students, faculty and staff to create an inclusive campus environment that celebrates people of all backgrounds, cultures and identities. In so doing, we provide opportunities and resources that promote multicultural fluency, social justice awareness, and inclusion among our SLU community members, thus aiding in their development as critically reflective and socially just leaders. To support our mission, the Center’s work is rooted in theories and teaching models that focus on using knowledge of power, privilege and oppression to inspire self-awareness, reflection, empowerment and action-taking. Additionally, we provide support for students from underrepresented backgrounds to facilitate their social adjustment and academic success through advising and mentoring opportunities, collaborative student organization programming and heritage month celebrations.
