CLASS CODE: 2098 PAY GRADE: 017 CLASS TITLE: WEB PAGE DESIGN SPECIALIST ALLOCATION FACTOR(S) This is technical graphic design work for web-based applications producing graphic sketches, designs, and copy layouts for online content, by: 1) determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy; and 2) arranging layout based upon available space using sound layout principles and aesthetic design concepts by utilizing industry-wide recognized languages/software products.EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: (Note: The examples of work as listed in this class specification are not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. The omission of specific statements does not preclude management from assigning specific duties not listed herein if such duties are a logical assignment to the position. Examples of work performed are not to be used for allocation purposes.) Designs basic graphics using multi-layered graphic software.Extracts designs or graphics from non-proprietary graphical or multi-media sources for use in developing web pages.Revises graphic images into appropriate formats based on size and quality criteria.Visits multiple web sites to gather information.Produces basic graphics, graphical designs and copy layouts for online content.Links pages using basic industry-wide languages/software products.Conducts information assessments to determine owner requirements and solutions to meet user needs.Creates web pages.Performs related work as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (Note: The knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) identified in this class specification represent those needed to perform the duties of this class.
