Rockford Public Schools reserves the right and discretion to amend, delete, and deviate from the policies and procedures at the sole discretion of the District. These changes will supersede any handbook provisions and are effective as of the date of their occurrence. This Handbook is not a contract of employment for the District's employees. Unless otherwise provided by law or under the terms of an applicable collective bargaining agreement, District employees are "at will" employees of the Board of Education. The purpose of this handbook is to provide information that will help with questions and pave the way for a successful year. Not all district policies and procedures are included. Those that are, have been summarized.

To Rockford Public Schools Substitute Employees:

I am happy to welcome you as a Substitute Employee and thank you for choosing Rockford Public Schools! The purpose of this handbook is to provide you with a general explanation of the policies and procedures governing Substitute Employees and provide links to important information. It does not take precedence over the policies of the Rockford Board of Education nor does it supersede individual building policy. This handbook will assist you in fulfilling the numerous and varied responsibilities within our district.
