We have a list of all the activities we do. Primarily, the value is in the communication, giving you the information you need to navigate the system. We handle systemic issues, not technical issues – those are the remit of the Task Groups and Staff Engineers. Eric Jacklin, FM Callahan & Son Inc: Nadcap is industry-managed. The value is that, the suppliers don’t have a voice without the SSC. This is important for the Nadcap experience. The surveys conducted by the SSC on the supplier community provide information that goes to the Nadcap Management Council, to the PRI Board of Directors to create change. In this way, suppliers have gained voting rights, got the search function added to eAuditNet and encouraged focus on auditor consistency.Bill Heeter, Skills Inc: There’s also training available from supplier volunteers and Primes during the sponsored sessions. However, I have a question: the update from the break out sessions at the last meeting noted that a number of the suggestions made by suppliers were out of the scope of the SSC and were turned over to PRI. But they were non-technical so surely they fall within the scope of the SSC? For example, meeting location is not an SSC decision, but it’s something the SSC can lobby for on behalf of the supplier community. The SSC can drive action rather than check items off because they’ve been turned over to PRI.Connie Hess, PRI: With regard to meeting locations, there are specific criteria which we will share at some point so that people can understand how they are chosen. Nadcap runs 22 simultaneous meetings so we need a venue large enough to accommodate all those meetings, that is affordable, with an airport nearby etc. There are lots of logistical considerations.ACTION ITEM: Connie Hess to post presentation regarding location selection for suppliers to view. (Due Date: 23-JUN-2015).ACTION ITEM: Bill Heeter to provide metrics regarding correlation between Nadcap meeting attendance and number of NCRs during Nadcap audit. (Due Date: 23-JUN-2015).Lisa Donahoe, Alcoa: Let me clarify, the items that are PRI’s responsibility will be followed up on by the SSC, but we do need PRI’s help to address them.Bryan Hall, NSL Analytical: This is a question for Jeff Lott, about the adoption of the PD series instead of AS7003. How will the changeover be handled?Jeff Lott, Boeing: AS7003 dates back to around 1990 and is no longer needed. PD1000 will be owned by the PRI Board of Directors and will apply not just to Nadcap but to other industry programs as well. Joe Pinto, PRI: PD1100 was developed by an NMC sub-team, including SSC Chair Tom Newton, and is owned by the NMC. The higher level document PD1000 is owned by the PRI Board of Directors, and is written to govern any industry managed program. AS7003 is so old and the document owners were not closely in touch with Nadcap, so the responsibility has been taken over by NMC. nmc chair report-outJeff Lott presented.ssc chair report-out – state of the sscTom Newton presented.
