WELCOME TO THE OAKLEIGH BOWLING CLUBCONDITIONS OF HIRE AND INFORMATION SHEETFunction confirmation:The function booking is only confirmed when the Oakleigh Bowling Club receives your hire room fee, completed hire agreement & $200 security bondNo tentative function dates will be madeThe $200 security bond will not be returned on the night. If after inspection the premises have been left cleaned & tables and chairs have been returned to their original format, the bond will be deposited to your nominated bank account, usually within 72 hours.Payment Options:The Oakleigh Bowling Club accepts cheques, cash, or direct bank deposit. The club also has EFTPOS facilitiesAny outstanding payment must be paid at the end of the functionFunction Hours:A function duration is 5 hours, with a reasonable set-up time to be negotiatedFor an evening function, all guests must vacate the premises & surrounds by 12.30 amAll music/entertainment must cease at 12 midnightFor a lunch function, all guests must vacate the premises & surrounds by 6 pmSet-up access for Saturday functions during the bowls pennant season (Oct to March) is only available after 4.30 pm, with the function starting at 7 pm.The Oakleigh Bowling Club:Has the right to refuse to let the facilities at the discretion of the ClubDoes not accept 18th birthday functions due to difficulty of monitoring license conditionsIs a fully licensed bowling club, run by club volunteer members, and as such, we request that you and your guests respect and be courteous to our members and respect our 110 year old plus Club and facilitiesNO BYO drinks are permitted, we have a fully licensed bar selling alcohol & soft drinksOur bar license is from 12 noon to 11.30 pmThere are no drinks ALLOWED ON THE BOWLING GREEN/RINKAlcohol purchased in the bar is allowed to be taken outside, on the concrete areasSmoking is not permitted in the building or within 10 metres of any entrances to the buildingAll Children MUST BE supervised at all times during the function (inside & outside)Children are not permitted on our bowling green/ rinks.The Hirer:Is responsible for any accident, loss, damage or injury suffered, by any person/s using the facilities during the hire period and any loss, damage or injury suffered by any person/s on the hired premises or its surroundsAgrees to indemnify the Club for any claims arising from excessive noise, disturbance or nuisance, by people attending the functionShall be liable for and shall indemnify the Club against any liability, loss claim or proceeding in respect of any injury whatsoever to any property, real or personal, in so far as such injury, loss or damage arises during the hire periodIs responsible for the hire and use of all security personnel, if applicable.What is and is not included:You need to supply your own tablecloths, platters, tea towels, tea, coffee, milk and any other catering equipment/utensils you will needYou may use the club’s crockery and cutlery, however all items used must be washed and put backIf you do use any of the club table clothes, they must be washed and returned, otherwise a $50 washing fee will be chargedIf you use the kitchen appliances, they must be cleaned, including the stoves & gas topsYou must sweep all floors, and mop if it is requiredYou may change the room set-up, however the tables/chairs must be returned back to its original set-up at the end of the functionYou must remove all rubbish (including the rubbish bin/bags) and put all rubbish in the recycle or general rubbish bins in the alley way, at the back of the club room at the end of your functionYou must ensure that the premise is left clean at the end of your event, otherwise a $100 cleaning fee will be charged and deducted from the security bondThe clubrooms have a microphone, sound system & projector screen, so you will need to bring any other electronic items you need for your function.Social Bowls:The cost to play social bowls is $10 per guest, maximum time limit of 2 hoursMinimum cost of $200 will be charged, cost includes all equipment, bowls, jacks & matsAll bowlers must wear flat soled shoes or will need to play in socks or bare feetNo shoes with raised heels or patterned soles will be allowedAny children playing bowls, must be supervised by an adultAn instructor can be made available to show you how to bowlAny night bowling under lights, if available, is only allowed to 10 pmPayment for social bowls needs to be made before the function (minimum $200)If the social bowls function is cancelled due to bad weather, the pre-payment will be returnedWe value your patronage and trust that you and your guests will enjoy the Oakleigh Bowling Club experience.Lastly, it would be appreciated if during your function, that you offer food to our bar staff, as they are club volunteers and have given up their time for free.As acceptance of the Conditions of Hire and the Information provided in this document, please sign and date below.Thank YouLouise SaffignaAssistant Secretary & Club Booking CoordinatorOakleigh Bowling Club 87 -93 Drummond Street (cnr of Drummond & Logie Streets), Oakleigh 3166Signed by Hirer…………………………………………………..
