Judge’s Award: Best Overall Entry - Aransas Pass

On behalf of the Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce, we invite your organization to participate in the fun this year at our 73rd Annual Shrimporee Parade! It is our intention to have a great, family oriented parade, and to show what a fine community this is. There is no cost to enter the parade. We look forward to seeing great hometown (and out-of-town!) spirit, flashy floats, and real creativity!

Please read the following letter carefully for information and details pertaining to entry.

The parade will be held Saturday, June 12th, 2021 at 10:00 am. The parade will begin at the intersection of East Maddox Ave. and Commercial Street and end at DeBerry Avenue. Participants are asked to line up on Stapp Ave. turn right onto Huff (Harbor) take a right onto Maddox Ave. to line up. Parade will start as you go left onto Commercial St. For your convenience, a map of the parade route is included with this letter.

Judging will take place at 9:00 am. Everyone is asked to be prepared and on time; being late may result in not being judged. Marching groups will be given 1-2 minutes to show their formation. Appearance of all participants will be taken into consideration. Midway through the parade, winners will be announced from the Judge's Booth and you may claim your trophy. Judging categories are as follows:

For the safety of children attending the parade; candy and favors cannot be tossed from the floats or vehicles. Candy and Favors can be handed out by walkers alongside the floats or vehicles. Please keep the SAFETY of children and other spectator's in mind at all times during the parade.

As a participant in the Aransas Pass Shrimporee 2021, I acknowledge the risks, and assume personal responsibility for my actions. I hereby release, covenant not to sue and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce, Aransas Pass Shrimporee 2021, The City of Aransas Pass, Aransas Pass for Youth, its agents, employees, officers, sponsors and successors from any claim or liability, which I, my heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns may have or claim to have arising out of any bodily injury, death, or property damage I might sustain relating to activities while participating in the Aransas Pass Shrimporee 2021. I understand that if I am a food vendor there are potential risks involved in cooking and/or serving my food item which include, but are not limited to, burns, cuts, slipping, falling, or lifting heavy items which are heavier than they actually appear. I have read this Indemnity Agreement, Covenant Not Sue and liability Release, and I understand all its terms. I sign it voluntarily and with all knowledge of its legal consequences.
