Dear Jayne, I took my family to one of the swimming pools in the community several weeks ago. I am terribly upset that there were some teenagers playing explicitly vulgar music and using foul language while using the pool. The teenagers were unaccompanied by adults. When I asked them to watch their language due to the age of my children, they told me to mind my own business. The pool attendant asked them to turn down their music but they continued to be loud and obnoxious. I ended up leaving the pool early due to their behavior. What can be done to address this? ~ Steph N.
Dear Steph, I am so sorry that you experienced this type of behavior at the pool. Teenagers, although they may be old enough to go to the pool on their own, still require some adult supervision. I am guessing that the parents of some of these teenagers may not be aware of the behavior or sometimes, their guest's behavior. The pool attendants are hired to check in residents, check chemicals in the pool, keep restrooms clean, and report unruly behavior to the property management company. Since they are teenagers, they are not a security company. I heard that because of increased behavior issues and vandalism at both pavilions, the Board of Directors decided to hire a security company to patrol both pavilions several days and nights per week. I hard from a board member that the pool season ends in October. If you have further issues, please notify Ken Piland, Property Manager, at ken@. ~ Jayne Doe
Dear Jayne, I just wanted to say thank you for raising the US and Texas Flag at the Mountain Lodge monument. The monument looks beautiful and the flags flying are the icing on the cake. ~ Melanie C.
Dear Melanie, I could not agree more! My fawn and I watched the flag ceremony from a distance. It was very moving. ~ Jayne Doe

Mountain Lodge Monument Completed and Flag Raising Ceremony Held
If you have driven down Mountain Lodge Road toward 281 recently, you have driven by our newly constructed monument. The project construction took longer than expected due to utility easement delays. The Board of Directors wants to thank prior Board President, David Diharce, as he provided oversight for the entirety of the project.
To commemorate the completion of the project, the Board of Directors held a Flag Raising Ceremony on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 9:00 AM. Several Board Members and Residents were in attendance. We had scouts from BSA and GSA that reside in Mountain Lodge community assist with the ceremony. The Star-Spangled Banner was sung acapella by Mrs. Amy Packard and Ms. Ella Packard, residents of Mountain Lodge, as the flag was being raised.
Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Ryan and Alana Harris for coordinating the BSA and GSA troops for this event, to the Packard Family for your participation, and to residents that attended the event. A special thank you to the following scouts: Drew Harris (Venture Crew 360), Will Metzinger (BSA Troop 360), Megan Harris (BSA Troop 361), Erin Harris (BSA Troop 361), Hailey Mandel (GSA Troop 890), and Peyton Shore (GSA Troop 890). This event would not have been possible without all of you!
