POSITION TITLE:Op Shop and Retail Area Manager LOCATION:Central EastREPORTS TO:National Op Shop & Retail Manager DIRECT REPORTS:Op Shop ManagersPURPOSE: To drive the performance of op shops and retail outlets within the area to maximise revenue and retail performance, support staff and volunteers, promote one SPCA culture, share knowledge across the Op Shop team and embed national policies and procedures. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads the op shops in the area to deliver financial performance goals and overall retail performance Through analysis ensure correct structures of op shops including trading hours, locations and rostersMonitors the area’s performance against the assigned financial and non-financial performance measuresLeads the local delivery of all area and national marketing campaigns through coordinating effective setup and execution of each campaign thereby maximizing the sales potential and measuring resultsRegular review of departmental performance within each shop with a view of providing insight into growth opportunitiesReview and analyse sales categories in each store and implement strategies to maximise the sales potential of each categoryRegularly visit stores to help implement strategies to improve sales and conduct any required auditsActively participates in the development and roll out of new standards and processes as led by the National Op Shop and Retail ManagerEnsure each store within the area is being managed effectively and revenue is maximisedEnsure each stores environment promotes a positive customer and donor experienceWork with the National Op Shop and Retail Manager to manage area budgets and act within delegated authorityEnsure correct cash handling and POS procedures are followed by all Op Shop employees and volunteersLead, develop and motivate the Op Shop Team to be high performing, happy, capable and competent team members, delivering high levels of customer and donor satisfaction.Develop high performing teams, through effective recruitment, performance development, and leadership of all team members. Provide mentoring and support to the Op Shop ManagersEnsure optimum employee and volunteer capability, engagement, training and satisfaction. Ensure managers understand efficient stock management, customer service and revenue requirementsDeals with performance issues as they arise, seeks advice and guidance from HR Advisor and aims for positive outcomes to performance issuesManage escalated customer complaints as and when requiredCommunicates and shares information within the area and regionally to drive successCommunicate in a timely and effective manner with employees and volunteers of SPCAComplete the administrative tasks required to ensure the efficient running of the op shops. Authorise payroll weekly, approve leave and arrange cover as and when requiredComplete end of month reporting requirementsDistribute communications to managers as and when requiredLiaise with landlords and property managers as and when requiredComplete all administrative and reporting requirements in an accurate and timely mannerSupports process improvement groups and projects across the organisation to improve organisational performance. Actively participates in these groups and works collaboratively with all members of staff to achieve goalsDelivers project work as requested.
