|To support the preparation and development of policies, strategies and supporting information, offering recommendations and guidance to decision makers |

|within the Transport Strategy Service, to help shape delivery. To actively engage with strategic partners and customers and contribute to the delivery of|

|the policy framework, plans, and bid activity associated with service objectives. |

|Support the development and implementation of the service plan and contribute to the preparation of technical strategies, specifically relating to |

|transport planning. |

|To collate, process and analyse information on travel using the appropriate systems. Ensure all required records and information and data sets are |

|maintained correctly, liaising with external partners where appropriate. |

|Undertake research and consultations to inform recommendations and decision making within the Service. Develop results and responses and submit reports |

|and recommendations on key issues. |

|Support the provision of transport planning professional advice, guidance and support to a range of internal and external customers / stakeholders. Assist|

|in the delivery of projects / programmes within the service area. |

|Build and maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders, to ensure service delivery and to share and identify|

|best practice. |

|To support the work of the team in securing external sources of funding through bidding and other income sources. To work with other members of the |

|Transport Strategy team on the development and delivery of the business plan. |
