Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary (OARS). We are volunteer-driven and rely on our volunteers—YOU! We rely on your help at special events, craft making, running errands, fundraising efforts, and of course, with assistance with daily cat care at the Adoption Center. Please let us know how you are interested in helping us help homeless pets, and we will be in touch with you soon!OARS Mission StatementOur mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for pets in need, one at a time. We provide compassion, love and the highest quality of care for each animal, in a comfortable environment. Cats live in a cage-free environment at the adoption center, and dogs and small pets live in foster homes until adopted.Any extra care and nurturing that is needed for those pets that may otherwise be deemed unadoptable- the shy, the sick, the orphaned, the injured, the abused, the neglected, the unwanted misfits- is provided by our volunteers until these pets find their forever homes.About UsOrphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue in Neenah, WI. It was founded in September, 2008 by animal lovers who saw the need in the Fox Cities community to save the lives of more homeless pets and set in motion the steps needed to ensure a future in which there are no more homeless pets in Wisconsin. As a result, it is important to work with overcrowded shelters to further this goal; we don’t accept surrenders from the public unless previously adopted from OARS. OARS receives no public or municipal funding; we rely completely on donations and fundraising to care for these homeless pets.We inspire action that will make an impact for pets as well as people. Through the development of educational and outreach initiatives, we reach the community and beyond with our message about the importance of spaying and neutering and treating animal companions with respect and dignity. With your help, we will create a network of animal lovers who will change the world—one homeless pet and one person at a time.General Information:___________________________________________________________ ____________________First Name Middle Initial Last Name / Previous Name- if applicable Home Phone__________________________________________________________ ____________________Street Address Cell Phone_________________________________________ ____________________City, StateZIP Work Phone______________________________ ___________________ E-mail address (email is our primary mode of communication) Birth Date (00/00/00) __________________________________________________________________ ____________________Employer Name/ how long thereEmployer Address Occupation__________________________________________________________________Emergency Contact/ relationshipEmergency Contact phone number(s)Please provide two non-related references who have seen you interact with pets:_______________________________________________________________ ________________________Name/ Relationship Phone (s) / Best time to contact E-mail________________________________________________________________ ________________________Name/ Relationship Phone (s) / Best time to contact E-mailWhy do you want to become an OARS volunteer? ____________________________________________________________What area of interest, special skills, and/ or training should we be aware of? ________________________________How/Where did you learn about teh OARS Volunteer Program? _________________________________________________ Age RequirementsOARS Volunteers must be at least 17 years old to participate in on-site volunteer programs due to safety/ insurance guidelines.
