From the ASBOA Handbook: “Any student who should refuse to behave in a manner which reflects credit on the All-State Organizations can, and will be, dismissed from the Clinic.” You are under all ASBOA, AAA, ArkCDA, Music Conference, and your own school policies for the entire convention.The All-State Code of Conduct must be read, completed, and returned to your director before the All-State Clinic.OPENING SESSION:Thursday morning at 9:30 am all students and directors will meet in Hall A for Opening Session.REHEARSALS:“Students are required to attend all rehearsals and no student will be allowed to attend or perform in other organizations.” A complete All-State Conference Schedule is available at .BRING ALL EQUIPMENT WITH YOU AND DO NOT DEPEND ON SOMEONE ELSE.Pencils - Mutes - Extra Reeds - Piccolos - Sticks and Mallets - and A HAPPY DISPOSITION!Dress for rehearsals can be casual, but should meet school dress codes.EXHIBITS:You must wear your name tag in plain sight at all times! Exhibits will be open on Thursday morning at 9:00 am, so as soon as your director gets your name badges, you can visit the Exhibits. They will also be open the last half hour of your lunch break on Thursday & Friday. Exhibits WILL NOT be open on Saturday morning so you will have to talk your parents into giving you the $$$$$ before you go to All-State! Obtain the permission of the booth representative before handling instruments. You may enter the exhibit area only while the exhibits are open. No student will be allowed to participate in an All-State organization without completing this form and returning it to his/her director before the conference. The directors will be responsible for having these forms with them at the conference.1. Students are responsible for all their own personal possessions - jewelry, instruments, equipment, etc.2. Students must remain reasonably quiet at all times in the hotel. Televisions, tape or CD players must remain at low levels.3. No student will leave the hotel without proper adult supervision.4. No items may be charged to the room (room service, phone calls, etc.).5. Room check will begin at 10:45 p.m. - the All-State curfew is at 11:00 p.m. Students must be in their own rooms at this time and must not leave their rooms after this time except in cases of emergency.6. Possession or use of alcoholic beverages, or controlled substances (drugs or illegal materials) will not be tolerated.7. Prompt attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory. Tardiness will not be tolerated.8. Students are expected to be on their best behavior at all times. Inappropriate behavior in and outside of rehearsals will not be tolerated. Cell phones and other non-medical electronic devices must be turned off during rehearsals.9. Students are under all ArkCDA, ASBOA, AAA, Music Conference and individual school policies.It is understood by students, parents, directors, chaperones and administrators that any infraction of the above rules of conduct constitutes grounds for dismissal from the All-State Conference/Clinic.
