DMS Student Portal Course Selection Instructions 2019-20120 For Incoming Grade 6View and enter your requests for the next year during the period of April 12, 2019 through April 26, 2019. During this date range, you can enter and make changes at any time. *****NOTE: When you finish, click POST to notify your counselor that you are done. To enter your requests:Log on to Aspen with the STUDENT login information at OR go to the Duxbury Public School Website duxbury.k12.ma.us and click on the Aspen Portal link in the upper right.Enter the Student Login name and password that was sent to you on your family Aspen portal under PUBLISHED REPORTSYou are now in the Student View.Click the My Info tab.Click the Requests side-tab. The Requests page appears: INCLUDEPICTURE "" \* MERGEFORMATINET At the top of the page, in the Instructions box, read and follow the instructions for entering your requests.In the Primary requests box, select your requests for the different subject areas. For example, to select your request for a math course, click Select next to the Math course for which your child has been recommended. The courses you can request appear:1156795819566384481671733118741261390365103855313903650The Status column displays information about the course, if this is the course your current teacher recommended for you. You have to select the level of the math course recommended for you. However, if you wish your child to take a different level other than the level recommended, you must speak to your child’s math teacher to discuss. If you still want to override the recommendation, you must complete a Placement Review Form available on our school website under Course Selection Information by April 26, 2019. Select the checkbox in the Select column of the course(s) you want to request, and click OK. The requests now appear on your Requests page.Note: To remove a request from your Requests page, click the Select checkbox again to deselect it.2394388932005 Math 600 Math 6250887397787000Your requests are automatically saved after you enter them on the Requests page. Your counselor can view them anytime. After you complete your requests, click Post. YOU MUST POST BY April 26, 2019. This lets your counselor know that you are finished entering requests. If you have not selected enough courses to satisfy requirements for your academic track, the system lets you know which area you need to make more requests in: Once your counselor approves your requests, you can no longer make changes to your course selections.Please do NOT make any teacher, team, or other scheduling requests in the “Notes to Counselor” box. Any request NOT to have a teacher based on previous experience MUST be in writing or email to Donna Theodossiou by May 15, 2019.
