NOTICE TO RESIDENT

March 23, 2018

The Village of Allouez 2018 Street Repair Project will include the following streets:

East River Drive --Longview Ave to Village Limit

Floral Drive/ Schroeder Lane – Libal St to St Joseph St

Warren Court – Du Charme Ln to Riverside Dr

Service Road – Riverside Dr to Stambaugh Rd

A street repair project involves the replacement of the asphalt surface of the road as well as the replacement of damaged sections of curb & gutter and some driveway aprons. A painted “X” on the curb and/or driveway apron in front of your home indicates that it is scheduled to be replaced. This work is not assessed to you, the property owner, as it is part of our annual road maintenance program.

Warren Court only: The existing water main will be replaced and new water services will be installed to the property line. As the services are reconnected water to your home will be shut off for roughly 1-2 hours. After the new water main is installed the road will be excavated, new curb & gutter will be installed on both sides of the street and new driveway aprons will be placed before the road is paved. Access to your home will be maintained to the best of our ability during the project. It will be limited when the crew is in front of you home and the 7-10 days it takes the concrete to harden.

Property owners with a painted “X” in front of their homes that have any type of landscaping, shrubs, sprinklers systems, dog fences or other decorative items within the village Right-Of-Way (R.O.W.) should remove these items before the project begins. The estimated start time for the project is mid-June but may be adjusted as circumstances change. Village R.O.W. on most streets is typically 8-10 feet behind the curb but we will only need the first 2 feet to install the new curb. Property owners are responsible for the removal of these items and are to replace them at their own expense if desired.

The contractor responcible for the repair project will be determined after the bid opening in mid-April.

During the construction process the Village of Allouez request that you be patient with our contractors. They will do they best to allow you access to your destination but at times it just won’t be possible. If you have any questions or comments I encourage you to contact me in person, by email or by phone.

Thank you,

Jeff Piette
