SUMMARYWorking under the direction of the Associate Pastor for New Church Development the program director’s call is to implement, create, and direct the New Creation Church storefront space. Responsibilities include outreach initiatives and event coordination for the New Creation storefront. He/she is an extension of the FPC Nashville team until the formation of New Creation church is complete.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProgram OversightDevelop a good working relationship with Associate Pastor to assist in reaching ministry goals Connect with the membership of FPC Nashville and local community to create energy and excitement about the NCC and to make effective use of the gifts and resources availableWork with the Christian Educator to create a structure for classes and ministry that creatively meets the need of the surrounding communityAssist when needed in community wide events and church functionsEffectively market and create community awareness of NCCIn consultation with the Associate Pastor for NCD, develop a budget and timeline for creating an active ministryEvent CoordinatorCreate a presence in the community Be visible and involved in community events, celebrations, and service opportunities.Research possible events and seek ways to implement similar ones in the local areaSupport community wide events as a participant or volunteer when availableCreate a volunteer network and effectively delegate roles for specific needs and eventsNew Creation Church Further the church’s vision and values in the community based on ministry goals established by the associate pastorBe the public face of the ministry to the local communitySupport the church’s growth towards small groups, worship, and other servicesQualificationsEducation Bachelors DegreeExperience & QualificationsAbility to create, implement, and schedule relevant classes and workshopsDemonstrated ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environmentStrong history of organizational skills with diverse skills in marketing and technologyStrong working knowledge of all social media outletsKnowledge OfCreating organizational structures and community lifeManaging multiple schedules and coordinating a variety of groupsMust be able to perform the duties of this job Ability toInteract effectively with the community including business leaders, teachers, class participants, parents and childrenCommunicate effectively and dynamically in oral and written formPrioritize and balance multiple tasksAbility to work a unique schedule that may vary in its demand week to weekPromote and create an active community centerGrow spiritually as a Christian discipleRaise visibility in the community through building relationships with key community leaders and civic organizationsAttract people to the new church, inspire and disciple them, and utilize their gifts to serve the KingdomOrganize, self- manage and practice effective time managementWork independently and with others to meet desired goalsSalary Part-time based on experiencePhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and to move about, to sit for extended periods of time, and to operate office equipment. The role of the Program Director will require flexibility and energy to serve at unconventional hours.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee primarily works indoors in an office setting. The work environment is sometimes noisy with frequent interruptions. The employee must also have the ability to work in with a variety of people. ................
