WALES & WEST UTILITIES VACANCYJob TitleWestern Gas Alliance - Project OfficerReports ToFirst Line ManagerSalary?37,834 LocationTreforest Closing Date17th September 2018We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Western Gas Alliance (WGA) Team!!What is the job?Our WGA department is looking to appoint a project officer in our Treforest depot.Successful candidates will manage a geographical area of the Replacement Programme, meeting and exceeding the Alliance Targets.Some key accountabilities of the role are as follows:Prepare, authorise and audit Non Routine Operations, Routine Operations and Permits to WorkTo ensure all works are carried out and recorded in compliance with WW/PM/AR/3 (formerly SEI33)Provides support to all Alliance colleagues to deliver an annual programme of worksProvide support to the Operations Officer and their engineering teamsAttend planning meetings to ensure effective delivery of the construction programmeMonitor/track the progress of planned actions as required e.g. audit action plansMeet and agree program of works with third party clientsShare best practice with other parts of the parent companies and identify where they can be implemented within the AllianceWork within and promote the philosophy of team working and development across all activities to achieve business objectives and improved performance.Who are we looking for?We are looking for somebody to ensure that all works are carried out and recorded in compliance with WW/PM/AR/3 (formerly SEI33).The project officers will provide expert advice to all on Safety & Engineering policy and procedures and manage the Alliance Operational Inspection program and the compliance inspection program (QMS).We are looking for someone who can support Wales & West Utilities customer service strategy and handle customer complaints within agreed standards of service as and when they arise.The below qualifications are desirable:Suitable technical/professional qualifications such as SCO 1, 2, 5. NVQ Gas Engineering and Management level 4 or equivalent, NRSWA SupervisionRelevant Engineering, Operational or Professional Services e.g. Distribution/Health/Safety/EnvironmentIdeally qualified to Authorising Engineer status (where this qualification is not held, training will be provided)If you would like to apply, please complete our online application form.
