NEW TEACHER MENTORING AND THE ALABAMA EVERY STUDENT

SUCCEEDS ACT (ESSA) PLAN

This session is for experienced CTE teachers with a minimum of three years of full time

classroom teaching experience. Participants will be provided with information about the

Alabama Teacher Mentor (ATM) program and the responsibility of CTE to identify

experienced teachers to support less experienced CTE teachers within the same content

knowledge area. Participants will learn strategies that will provide a helping hand so that

beginning teachers develop into effective teachers.
