Baptism Event | August 11

Getting baptized is a way to publicly show your personal commitment to follow Jesus - as people rise up out of the water, they are resurfacing with new life! Our next baptism event is a special allcampus gathering on August 11 for our metro Detroit campuses. Birmingham, Clarkston, Clinton Twp., Orion, and Troy campuses will come together as one community to celebrate baptisms outside on the lawn at Troy campus. We are so excited to celebrate this step of faith with you! More at baptism. All are welcome at this family service. Enjoy lawn games and treats prior to the 7pm service. Please bring your own chairs for seating.

Kids & Students

KKids (birth-grade 5): KKids is back for all ages (birth through grade 5) at both the 9am and 11am services. More information at kids. Check out our Kensington Church Kids Facebook page and Orion Kensington Kids group for daily posts that include videos, crafts, and challenges. Questions? Contact our KKids Director Ryan Morrill. Breakaway (grades 6-8) and Edge (grades 9-12): We would love to have you join us at one of our Summer Houses this month where we eat, hang out, and have fun together at different family's homes. Whether it's your first time with us or you've been in our program a long time, it's going to be a blast! Breakaway meets on Thursday August 5 and August 19 from 7pm-9pm. We want everyone to grow in their relationship with God and others. Join a Group Fall community groups and courses are just around the corner and will be kicking off in September. We'd love to help you get started! We are currently recruiting and training leaders for groups that will kick off in the Fall. Shaking the Family Tree: Bathsheba's Story

Royal scandal? Abuse of power? It's all there in week four of this series that looks into the turbulent stories of the ancestors of Jesus. Join us this weekend for the final week as we learn about Bathsheba's troubling story and consider what God is revealing to us about our own lives. *Please be advised that this service is rated PG-10. Join us for in-person service every Sunday at 9am and 11am or stream online via Orion's YouTube channel, and Kensington's website and app. Stay connected all week with our Orion community by joining the Orion Campus Facebook Group.

HWP 5K Events Imagine the hope that flows when the harsh, dry earth offers up sweet, clean, water! Kensington's own organization, Hope Water Project, is bringing clean-water wells to remote regions of Kenya. Join us our 5k at Troy campus on Saturday morning July 31. No matter what speed you walk, jog, or run, this is something you can do to change and save lives! More at 5k. Midweek Service | Aug 4 Join us for Midweek on Wednesday August 4 in the Orion lobby. Hangout with us from 6:30-7pm; have a tasty treat and play some games with family and friends. The service starts at 7pm with an evening of connection and community as we enjoy amazing music and Bible teaching together. Bring a comfy chair for seating or use ours.
