Vampires, Werewolves and Witches…oh my!

Finished the Twilight Saga and hungry for more in the same vein?

The Library has numerous vampire and supernatural-related fiction for you to sink your teeth into.

Why not try:

Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris

The first volume of the Southern Vampire/Sookie Stackhouse novels, this book introduces us to telepath barmaid Sookie Stackhouse and her world, where vampires and other undead ‘came out’ a few years ago and are now an accepted part of society. Sookie is drawn to one particular vampire, Bill Compton after she realizes that the thoughts of Undead are silent to her (being able to hear your date’s thoughts can really kill the romance!).

There are presently nine books in the series including: Dead Until Dark, Living Dead In Dallas, Club Dead, Dead To The World, Dead As A Doornail, Definitely Dead, All Together Dead, From Dead To Worse, Dead And Gone. The series has also been turned into the television program True Blood staring Anna Paquin.

Best friends Rose, half-human/half-vampire, and Lissa, a mortal vampire princess, are forced to attend after two years on the run. Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber

The intriguing and rumored-to-be haunted mansion on top of Benson Hill has stood vacant and boarded-up for years. That is, until its mysteriously strange new occupants move in. Who are these creepy people, especially the handsome, dark and elusive Alexander Sterling? What if the rumors around town are true? Are they vampires?
