Should a suitable candidate not be found, external candidates will be considered.ITS Project Lead Faculty/Department: Information Technology Employee Group: Support StaffCampus: Trafalgar (May be assigned activities at any Sheridan campus)Payband: K Reference Number: 19/S/40Hourly Range: $39.43-$45.72Hours: 9-5pm Hours/Week: 40Application Deadline: (5 business days)Reporting to the Manager, IT Service Desk, the incumbent serves as a project lead for Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and plays an integral role in delivering project solutions that leverage technology to optimize end user computing by leading project planning activities, defining scope, scheduling, communications, resource coordination and performing business and technical analysis. The incumbent owns the overall coordination and delivery of projects led by IT Services Department ensuring that approved scope and deliverables are aligned with service delivery management platforms, service requirements and demands of the College. The incumbent is also responsible for providing project coordination activities within the IT Services department for projects that are led outside the department but within the department’s purview or for which IT Services has been identified as a resource. The incumbent works in a matrix capacity with all IT departments and adopts College’s project management practices as defined by Project Services.Specific Responsibilities Include: Partners and collaborates with key stakeholders, appropriate departments, and organizational leaders to establish scope, strategies, timelines, resources and delivery of assigned projects.Maintains project plans, project schedules, project status, project budgets and expenditures and other project artifacts as required by the project.Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.Tracks project performance using appropriate KPIs, metrics, tools, and techniques.Within a matrix environment, assigns and monitors project tasks to allocated project team resources. Actively elicits, documents and analyzes requirements (both functional and technical).Facilitates the creation and documentation of business process use cases.Ensures stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution focusing on business value and outcomes.Recommends possible solutions based on the existing systems and modules as well as the available technologies and business processes.Evaluates trade-offs amongst numerous alternatives.Ensures customer view and experience are on the forefront of every engagement.Builds positive business relationships and networks within Sheridan College community.Identifies new opportunities and alignments across business functions and is knowledgeable about the business partner and their objectives.Coaches stakeholders and organizational leaders to enable them to articulate their functional needs and requirements.Educates business partners about processes, roles, and capabilities.Delivers presentations and provides information sessions to stakeholders, users and technical teams.Participates in development of strategic plans within the portfolio.Collaborates with Project Services to develop and maintain Sheridan College’sStays up-to-date on Sheridan College’s IT related initiatives and projects.Collaborates with Project Services department to align with Sheridan College’s project management practices.Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a 4 year degree or equivalent in Computer science, Information Technology or a related field. (“or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience”). Along with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations v3 or greater AND at least one ITIL Intermediate certification. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or AND a CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or PSM (Professional Scrum Master) certification. Along with 5+ years of Enterprise Project Management experience leading teams in size from 5 to 20 across varied technologies in a distributed/matrix team environment. At least one-year experience developing Request for Purchase (RFP). Must be analytical, detail-oriented and possess strong time management, prioritization, documentation and communication skills. Demonstrated background in developing, supporting and leading successful projects, building processes and product rollouts. Ability to prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
