HINTS AND TIPS 1.Semester Course Code Information:Semester 1 Courses: Course Code will end in a 1 or an odd number.Semester 2 Courses: Course Code will end in a 2 or an even number.Zero HourIf you are interested in attending school 0-7th hour, choose “Zero Hour Interest” at the bottom of the “Electives” list. (You have a max of 7 classes/day + lunch.)BACC/Bloomington Area Career Center: If you have applied or will be applying to BACC, you must select a full NCHS schedule. Your counselor will work with you when you are admitted to the program.Work Program: To participate in the work program, you will need to enroll in the work portion (WRK151/152) and the work class (WRK101/102). If you are second year work program student, choose only the work portion (WRK161/162).PE ExemptionChoose PE Exemption under Physical Education. Login by entering your Username and Password. Username: U5 – Your SIS # (9 numbers)Ex: U5-123456789 **You must use “U5-”**Password : Usually it is your birthdate of 6 digits: MMDDYYStep 3. Click Choose My Courses from the list of options on the left under What do you want to do?.The upcoming school year is outlined in light blue. Select your courses for next year. 221958917309100Your course history is also included (your completed courses and the ones you are currently taking).Click on the blue book icon at the top right to see the full Course Guide. Remember, this is your course plan; you can select/remove courses as many times as you like through 1/22/17 HOW TO CHOOSE AND SUBMIT YOUR COURSESStep 1 SHADED SLOTS: To choose a required course click on the plus '+' icon of any shaded course slot. You will be presented with a list of courses to choose from. Click on course name to see the full description, advisor notes, pre-requisite, and future related course options. To add a course, click Add Courses. You will return to your course plan and the course will appear. Continue until you have selected all your required courses in shaded course slots. Step 2 WHITE SLOTS: To choose an elective course, click on the plus '+' icon of any white course slot. You will be presented with a list of departments to choose from. Click on one to obtain a list.Click on the course name to see the full description, advisor notes, pre-requisite, and future course options. Add Courses: click on the course, click Add Courses at bottom right. You will return to your course plan and the course you have chosen will appear. Continue until you have selected all your elective courses. Step 3 Adjustment and Verification: Delete Courses: click on the course in your course planner and select Delete Course at bottom right.Check the number of total credits you have selected. Your credits should be between 6 to 7 credits per year.? This number will vary depending on whether you have selected a study hall.The blue symbol means there is an Advisor Note for that course that you must read. The red symbol means there is an Alert for that course that you must read and you will need to see a counselor before submitting.*Note: If you are selecting 7 courses you will see the following message. This is ok and you will be able to submit.Step 3 SUBMITTING: When you have selected all courses for the next school year, click on the SUBMIT button. Keep in mind, once you have submitted your course requests, you can see you counselor to make adjustments. ................
