CONTROVERSIAL SOUL REGGAE GROUP JUDAH TRIBE SET TO IGNITE TARGET 1st SATURDAYS AT BROOKLYN MUSEUM

Brooklyn, NY - On Saturday August 2nd, controversial soul reggae group Judah Tribe invades the Brooklyn

Museum for Target 1st Saturdays. Judah Tribe is already stimulating a debate over its soon to be released single

Judgment. Written in tribute to Sean Bell, killed by NYPD officers, Judgment features guitarist and father-in-law of

Sean Bell Les Paultre. The performance will take place as part of the Reggae Retro/Revival Reggae Sundays

outdoor dance party featuring Judah Tribe, DJs Silence, Jase and Styff.

After their initial meeting in 2005, these talented musicians would find a common mission and goal. As a result of

a unique collaboration, Judah Tribe was born. With members stemming from Cameron, Africa, Jamaica, France,

Haiti and the USA, Judah Tribe has developed a truly international following.

With a style that is reminiscent of the golden age of reggae music, Judah Tribe has honed its unique blend of soul

reggae. From the smooth love song Sometimes Love to the highly political Sleepwalker Judah Tribe has captured

the imagination of its fans. Comparisons to legends such as Steel Pulse, Peter Tosh and Bob Marley are not

uncommon. Their music has now been heard inside the walls of the United Nations as well as at many other

prestigious venues including; the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Danny Simmon's Corridor Gallery and

S.O.Bs in New York City.

Judah Tribe is led by accomplished singer/songwriter/guitarist Josh David whom has played bass guitar for many

internationally renown artists. These include Stevie Wonder, Common, Q-Tip, Rene Neufville, Joy Denalane and

a host of others. Together with music director & keyboardist Eric “The General” Toussaint, Josh David has crafted

a unique sound that is stirring lots of conversation.

The full length debut album, New Day Dawnin, is due to be released in the Spring of 2009. Judah Tribe recently

launched their new website which allows visitors to listen to new music, view tour

schedules, and sign up for the band newsletter.
