How to get to Gent?

By plane

Fly to Brussels International airport. Once you leave the customs area, follow the indications for the train station located two floors down, within the same building. From there, there are 4 trains to Brussels every hour. You can take a train to the South station (also called “Bruxelles Midi” or “Brussel Zuid”) and a further connection to Gent (Gent St-Pieter station). Twice every hour there is a direct train to Gent (Gent St-Pieter station) without the need to change trains. You can inquire at the ticket sales booth. One-way ticket is about 6 €. Once at the “Gent St-Pieter station” it is advisable to take a taxi (5-10 €) to your hotel, the city center and your hotel are not far away. You can also take a tram or local bus.

By car

from Antwerp or Kortrijk E17: take exit 10 and follow the direction of city center

from Brussels E40: at the intersection of the E17 and E40 take the direction Antwerp and follow the direction of city center.

follow the direction and exit “Alle richtingen”. The the first red light turn left. At the second red light follow the direction of the train station. The ICC is about 500m further to your right. 30 parking spaces will be indicated in the underground parking lot.

By train

How to get to the International Congress center?

There will be busses available throughout the entire day that will shuttle between the Sofitel hotel and the ICC. Shuttles will start at 7:30 am. A shuttle will leave every 15 min. from the Sofitel hotel to the ICC between 7:30 and 9:00 am and from the ICC to the Sofitel Hotel one hour after the meeting ends. In between, an hourly connection between both locations is available.

Taxis (at the participants own expense) are available at all other times.
