Welcome to the 2017 Wolverine Football Season. We are so grateful for all the

off-season support and the countless hours of service you have given the high

school program and the junior wolverine program.

Never backing away from challenge, this years¡¯ non-conference Varsity High

School schedule is filled with top in-state opponents including Richland, Garfield,

Tumwater and Archbishop Murphy. All four teams are highly ranked in preseason

polls and each has a strong tradition of athletic success. Next up on the gridiron

varsity schedule are five Kingco Conference rivals. We invite and encourage everyone of you to come out and support the team.

Our Head Coach Mark Landes is devoted to the Bellevue Football Tradition. Mark

is a Bellevue High School graduate and former Wolverine player and has coached

in our youth program and at the high school level before being named the head

coach last season. Coach Landes has assembled a talented coaching staff and is

excited about his team anchored by a strong group of senior class leaders.

¡°Tradition Never Graduates¡± The future of Bellevue football remains bright. Last

year our six junior teams went a combined 40-0-1. The 2016 undefeated season

was a first ever GEIFA and Junior Wolverine accomplishment. All six teams played

in the championship game and won four of the five championships (another

league first). The junior teams play their home games at BHS and we would

encourage you to come out on a Saturday and look at the very bright future of

Bellevue Football.

The coaches and players look forward to seeing you for this seasons edition of

Friday Night Lights. We sincerely appreciate the time you are investing to continue the Bellevue Football Tradition and being a part of the Wolverine Family.

In the memory and spirit of Trygg Skoglund, Class of 2000, a newly replaced bronze bell

proudly rings at Bellevue High School football games. Senior players will continue the

tradition of ringing the spirit bell as they embark upon the field on game night. The

dedication and original bell was built in 2001, from loving donations of our school families,

friends, and Booster Club. Unfortunately, the old historical cast iron bell had a crack in it. So

that our tradition wouldn¡¯t be lost, the Skoglund family replaced the bell. A school landmark,

this bell symbolizes the spirit of Trygg and his love of Bellevue Football.
