2020-2021 COLLEGE IN HIGH SCHOOL COURSES (CHS) REQUIRING PLACEMENT TESTING TO PURSUE BC3 COLLEGE CREDITS

Dear Parent/Guardian: The following CHS courses require GPA requirements and placement test qualifying scores to pursue BC3 college credits. If your son or daughter is not interested in pursuing BC3 college credits, they will take the SV class and DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE ANY PLACEMENT TESTING. However, if they are interested in pursuing BC3 credits, there are opportunities to test and re-test (if necessary) to obtain the appropriate score levels on the Accuplacer exam. Students who have taken SAT or ACT exams can qualify with college admission test scores as indicated below in place of the Accuplacer exam. Students can take the Accuplacer exam via ZOOM testing by scheduling with Butler County Community College during after school/evening hours. Prior to sitting for any testing session, a *BC3 High School Programming application must be turned into your SV classroom/cyber teacher in person or electronically. SV teachers will be collecting BC3 applications beginning the first day of school, September 8, 2020. The guidance office will automatically send an SV transcript along with your application to BC3. Once BC3 receives the completed application with SV transcript, they will reach out to schedule a ZOOM testing session.
