Setting up document for Grade 2 calendar

Click onto blank white paper.

Choose large cells.

File/page set up/Landscape/ Green check

Row 1 - Set pixel height to 91.5

Row 2 - Set pixel height to 28.5

Row 3 - Set pixel height to 27

Rows 4 - 8 - Set pixel height to 60

Columns A - G - Set pixel width the 15

Merge cells C-1, D-1 and E-1.

Place border around new cell.

Center writing

Set font size to 38.

Merge cells C-2, D-2, and E -2.

Center writing.

Set font size to 24.

Highlight Cells A-3 to G-8.

Set border around all cells

Highlight Cells A-4 to G-8.

Set Font Size to 24

Click onto the number 3

Set font size to 14

Save document to MLT folder

Student

Have students open MaxCount

(Right click/ Left click onto the word "Open")

Minimize MaxCount

Open MLT folder

Open Calendar

Open Grade 2 calendar

File/Save As "Calendar"

View/ Header Footer

Click onto right side of footer

Type name

Green check

Double click into single large cell

Type in name of month

Open font toolbar

Change font

Click into single large cell underneath Month

Type in year.

Change font

Double click into A3

Type Sunday

Go to lower right corner until black cross appears

Drag to G3. All days will type in.

Type in numbers days needed to finish in first row.

Type in numbers in Sunday and Monday of second row. (Unless the first day of the month is a Sunday, this is A5 and B5).

Type in number in Sunday and Monday of third row. (Unless the first day of the month is a Sunday, this is A6 and B6).

Highlight these 4 numbers. Click onto the lower right corner of B6 until the black cross appears. Drag to G6. All numbers should fill in.

Click onto the lower right corner of G6. When black cross appears, drag down to G8. The remaining numbers fill in. If needed delete last few number.

Go up to clip art. Go to appropriate seasonal clipart. Have students place art next to the name of the month.

Save and print.
