Talk to your children, and answer their questions as factually as you can. √Try to be aware of the amount of media coverage children are accessing. Consider a few updates every day from trusted sources. √ Be reassured that different reactions are normal and ok. √If your child seems worried, it may be good to distract them with something that takes their mind off their worries. √ Be hopeful and keep things positive. I would recommend ensuring you maintain a positive bed time routine. Physical ExerciseKeeping active during this difficult time is paramount. Exercise gives you a mood boost and there is so much available and accessible for all ages. Some of my favourites are: Joe Wicks, Cosmic Kids and Go Noodle. NutritionHaving a well-balanced diet will also support a healthy mind-set. This is the perfect opportunity to cook together, with no time restraints. Try making a healthy flapjack, smoothie or dinner together.
