ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2018.
1. There will be only ONE Santa in the parade, and he is sponsored by the Vista Chamber of Commerce. 2. The Vista Christmas Parade will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. The route will travel Civic Center, to Eucalyptus, to Santa Fe, and through the downtown. Parade vehicles must be able to navigate the roundabout on S. Santa Fe. Vehicles cannot exceed 24 feet due to the round-about. Participants accept all liablity for any damage done by parade vehicles to the round-about. 3. Parade check-in and line-up will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We will notify you of your check-in location via a confirmation email that will be sent after November 26, 2018. 4. No entry shall double back along the parade route while the parade is in progress. 5. YOU MAY NOT THROW ITEMS TO THE CROWD (this includes candy). Handouts may be given to the crowd by escorts walking alongside your entry. 6. Keep your unit in motion at all times. NO GAPS AND NO STOPPING TO PERFORM. Parade producers reserve the right to limit the size of entries. 7. Animal entries are required to supply their own "pooper scoopers". Compliance will be checked during the parade line-up; groups that do not have a dedicated person present for waste pick-up will not be allowed to participate in the parade. 8. All commercial vehicles in the parade must be decorated. Parade producers reserve the right to remove any parade entries with decorations that it deems offensive. Call the Chamber if you have a question. 9. Parade entries will be judged. This year's theme is A Candyland Chrstimas. Groups are encouraged to incorporate the theme into their parade entry. 3 prizes will be awarded for each categories: Best Use of Theme, Best Overall Entry and Most Christmas Spirit!

I further agree that if any loss or damage occurs from any cause to my person or to the property that I enter, that I will make no claim against the Vista Chamber of Commerce as a body or as individuals, the Parade Committee, the City of Vista, or anyone involved in the production of the parade. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the sponsors of this parade against any legal proceedings for any personal injury or damage arising from or occasioned by any employee or entry of mine. In the event of cancellation of this event for any reason I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the sponsors of this parade against any legal proceeding for any damage arising from or occasioned by said cancellation. I further understand that all payments are non-refundable.
