Rawlins, Wyoming has a population of 9,040 and is the county seat for Carbon County, the third largest county in the state, with a population of 15,885.

Rawlins is located in the south central part of Wyoming, 150 miles west of Cheyenne, WY, 290 miles east of Salt Lake City, UT, and 160 miles north east of Ft. Collins, CO.
