Excellent Effort and Good book for CCIE RS Written and other CCIE Tracks

I went through this book as I am preparing for my Service Provider Written Exam and I liked this book a lot. The book has a clear flow as it starts from Bridging/Switching and goes all the way to Enterprise Wireless Mobility covering broad range of topics in decent depth. It is a daunting task to cover all CCIE Routing and Switching blueprint topics in one book and that's why CCIE program recommends over dozen books for this exam. Having said that I still feel authors did enough justice and discussed key topics in sufficient detail. They also provided further reading links which I found to be very useful. In certain cases, concepts are taught in a much better way than books completely dedicated on specific protocol/technology. I'll especially like to mention the way authors explained EIGRP DUAL algorithm. It is a tough concept to grasp but they explained it in real simple way and I know I'll never forgot RD, FD, FC and FS :-)

The book comes with a CD and it has tons of practice questions along with PDF version of the text.

Wendell Odom is very well known author in Cisco community and wrote awesome texts like Cisco QOS Exam Certification Guide and CCNA Certification Library. Jim is a very well known guy in wireless community and I can easily say they didn't disappoint us here as well.

I did find some typos here and there but it is very common these days but I am sure authors will publish errata on Cisco Press website soon.

I'll recommend this book to all CCIE candidates for their written as well as lab for quick review of routing protocols.
