 CAHS Apex (Credit Recovery & Credit Advancement) FAQ'sHello CAHS Apex Students and Families,Below are some helpful information and links for students/guardians who may need Apex support throughout the 2020-21 school year. CAHS Apex Enrollment Form:: This form MUST be filled out before Mr. Jennison can enroll students. Please take the time to fill-out this form BEFORE asking to be enrolled in an Apex course. Apex Website: : Email Mr. McCoy (smccoy1@columbus.k12.oh.us) or Mr. Jennison (kjennison@columbus.k12.oh.us) if you need your Apex Username and Password.Apex Unlocking Form: : Students should fill-out this form when needing assignments unlocked outside of "school hours". A CCS Apex Teacher (not Mr. Jennison or Mr. McCoy) will be unlocking assignments outside of the traditional school day. When a student completes the courses, they can be assigned additional courses.Attendance:Students participating in Credit Recovery must sign in daily and show progress towards completion.It is recommended that students spend at least 45-60 minute daily (per course) to complete their Apex course(s) on pletion:All units must be attempted to show completion.Quiz and test mastery levels set at 20% with three attempts before students locked out.Courses must be completed by Friday, May 1, 2021 for graduating seniors.Classes must be completed by Friday May 14, 2021 for all other cohorts.If courses are not complete by the above dates, students will have the option to continue the classes in summer school. If the course is not completed during summer school, the student would need to start the course from the beginning with no credit for the work they submitted prior to the end of summer school.If a student is NCAA eligible, they need to complete the full course and all work must be saved for four years.Students may request for quiz and exams to be unlocked via the Google Unlocking Form (above). Expectations:Students will use APEX platform appropriately and follow the CCS student Code of Conduct as outlined in the 2020-2021 CCS Guide to Student Success.Students must use their CCS email address when requesting tests and quizzes to be opened.Credit Recovery and Original coursework students will request tests to be opened via the google test request form.
