Changing the default settings:

This is the default font for MSWord. It is called Calibri and is set at 11pt. Also, look at the spacing between lines of text. It is set to 10 pt. Spacing between paragraphs is 1.15 lines. If you do not like this font and/or the spacing, you can change the default to your preference.

To set the font: select the Home Tab and then click on the little arrow to the right of “font” on the ribbon to open the font dialogue box. Change your font and size and select “ set as default” and “yes”.

To set the spacing: select the Home Tab and then click on the little arrow to the right of “paragraph” on the ribbon to open the paragraph dialogue box. Change your line spacing and/or spacing before /after each line and select “ set as default” and “yes”.
