The goal for this school year is to provide the strongest possible Chemistry Education in these challenging times. We believe that a Remote Learning Education that engages students to begin this school year is best as we navigate these unprecedented challenges.

Course

Expectations: The #1 objective of this course is to pass. This objective is always kept in mind as lessons are prepared for the class. This class will be a serious course and will be taught remotely to begin the school year. The labs and projects are designed to offer you opportunities to learn new and creative procedures. The course is scheduled to accommodate a Remote Learning Education each day. Therefore, it is necessary for students to be prepared each day. Each student is expected to spend an adequate amount of time per week on coursework. The pace of the course will be based upon the level of Chemistry (Regular). The most successful students in Chemistry attend class meets on a daily/regular basis, do all assignments, labs, and projects, study frequently, and do well on all quizzes and examinations.

Materials & Supplies Needed: Students will do all assignments on Google Suite. If we resume in person learning you will need the following supplies:

Scientific Calculator / TI – 84, 85 or 86

3-Ring Laboratory Binder

White lined notebook paper

Writing instruments (pens / pencil)

Grading Scale: All grades are based upon assignments, labs, quizzes, projects and examinations.

Average Grade

100 – 90 A

89 – 80 B

79 – 70 C

69 – 60 D

59 – Below F
