Employment OpportunitiesFamily Child Care SpecialistThe?Family Child Care Homes Specialist provides monitoring, coaching and guidance for the family child care home providers. Responsibilities:Provides coaching/mentoring to family child care home providers.Ensures compliance with applicable company policies and procedures as set forth by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services and the Administration for Children Services.Ensures proper care and supervision for each and every child at all times and adheres to standards of professional conductEnsures the family child care home and all equipment is maintained in a clean and safe condition.Conducts intakes, recertification, monitoring and compliance in accordance with ACS, CACFP, DOH and MARC Academy’s policies and procedures.Timely data entry on all intake documentation and eligibility recertification if applicable.Provides and documents counseling, advocacy, intervention and child development referrals.Monitor parent fees and children attendanceOther duties as assignedSkills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesAbility to establish priorities, work independently, be flexible, and proceed with objectives without supervision.Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.Good communication and organizational puter proficiency.Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationThis Position Requires:Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a BA in Child Development or related field with a minimum of 24 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) course work preferred.Prior experience with children and families from diverse cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds.Due to the nature of the work environment work hours will be based on needs of program and may vary.Interested candidates should forward resume and cover letter to Margarita Feliz mailto: mfeliz@“MARC Academy and Family Center is an equal opportunity employer.
