Jolly Old St. Nicholas/Busy Girls and Boys Combine old with new to learn important lesson

Jolly Old St. Nicholas lean your ear this way.

Don’t you tell a single soul what I’m going to say

Christmas Eve is coming soon. Now, you dear old man,

Whisper what you’ll bring to me. Tell me if you can.

When the clock is striking twelve, when I’m fast sleep,

Down the chimney broad and black, with your pack you’ll creep.

All you the stockings you will find hanging in a row

Mine will be the shortest one, you’ll be sure to know

We’re busy. Busy girls and boys (3x) It’s Christmas time and we want toys!

My parents say Christmas time is about family

I must admit I can’t wait to see what’s under the tree! For me!

We’re busy. Busy girls and boys (3x) It’s Christmas time and we want toys!

Jolly Old St. Nicholas lean your ear this way. Listen carefully to what we’re going to say

Is Christmas isn’t about the toys; it’s about people who love you!

Jingle Bells

I hear jingle bells! Let’s sing the song! Jingle bells. Jingle bells. Jingle all the way.

J I N, G L E, B E L L S. I can spell jingle bells. I know you’re impressed.

J I N, G L E, B E L L S. I can spell jingle bells. Now let’s sing the rest.

Dashing through the snow, in a one horse open sleigh

‘oer the fields we go, laughing all the way.

Bells on bobtails ring making spirits bright.

What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight.

Here’s a verse for our Florida friends.

We dash but there’s no snow, coz Florida is hot. (Mark, no snow. Cut the snow!)

We’re heading to the mall. Hope there’s a parking spot.

Children are excited; Santa is inside. Christmas is always fun even without a sleigh ride. Oh!

“I built a snowman. How about you? If we build another, we can have two.”

My friend came over and said to me, “I brought my brother. Now we can have three.”

My sister looked out the front door. Called out “I can build number four.”

Right about the, my father did arrive. He began to build number five.

Here are five snowmen we built today. Tomorrow when the sun comes out, they’ll melt away.

“Note” from Mar.

Parents have been asking me for a Christmas CD for quite a while now. I thought it was about time. But, I couldn’t just sing about Christmas. I wanted to sing about the time of year. It is such a wonderful, magical time that carries memories that will last a lifetime.

As a child (once, a while back) I remember loving to sing these songs, even the ones I didn’t understand. It is important that children get traditions passed down to keep them alive. I thought it was also important to help make these songs more understandable to children. That is why I changed them a bit and wrote a few of my own. Please enjoy my twist on some of the traditional songs as well as the new traditions I hope to create.

Merry Christmas. Happy New Year Year! Happy Hanukah. Merry Hanumas!
