Department: Hospitality TeamSection: Facilities ??????????Reports To: Hospitality Team Leader ????FLSA Status: Exempt__________________________________________________________________________??????????????????????????????????POSITION SUMMARY: ?Provides management of Life Center’s campus, to include all facility, mechanical and grounds operations and related support services. Ensures that the building and grounds are well maintained and that the facility is mechanically sound, clean, safe and welcoming in support of all ministry activities and special events to help people find and follow Jesus. KEY or ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:Pro-actively inspect buildings and grounds regularly for ongoing maintenance and to determine the need for repairs or renovation Provide monthly, quarterly and yearly scheduled maintenance and testing on mechanical systems and emergency systemsWork alongside Hospitality Team Lead to procure a roster of subcontractors and maintain working relationships for additional maintenance of Life Center's building, property and systems while working in compliance with all local, state and federal regulationsPrioritize all service and maintenance requests from LC staffOn-call troubleshooting for facility needs and emergenciesDaily HVAC scheduling/programming for each room in buildingNew employee onboarding of alarm systems and keysWork alongside all LC staff teams to ensure the building and grounds are clean and set-up to facilitate excellent ministry throughout the week and weekendSchedules and manages Custodial crew, Common hosts, NWLC Student crew and volunteersSECONDARY FUNCTIONS:Assist the Lead Pastor to pastor the church by aligning with the Vision & Values of Life Center and being an essential part of the Hospitality TeamProvide on-call Christian spiritual guidance 2 hours weekly (or as needed) to individuals seeking help (AC duty)Participate in Rooted (either as facilitator, member, or helping with some aspect) at least annuallyQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Education: high school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience: Minimum of 5 years supervisory responsibilities is desired Construction skill set and acumen requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprints requiredGeneral knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and custodial skills requiredLicense/Certifications: none required, but helpful if licensed or certified in areas abovePREFERRED CORE COMPETENCIES:Exceptional organizational and management skills, able to multi-task and perform high quality, detailed work with minimum supervisionGlobal and collaborative thinkerAbility to recruit, build and lead teams Attention to detail and accuracyAbility to think strategically on behalf of the whole church while staying focused on supporting and serving the LC staff teamsProblem assessment and problem solvingCustomer service orientedTeamworkStrong communication skills – written and verbalHard worker with a commitment to getting job the done efficiently and correctlyEQUIPMENT UTILIZED:Laptop or desktop computer and supporting software programs2-way radiosOffice equipment including, but not limited to, printers and copiersHand and power tools PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Active mobility for up to 4 hours at a timeMove, lift and/or carry up to 80 pounds in accordance with State of Washington (WA) Labor & Industries (L&I) standardsUtilize a ladder in accordance with WA L&I standardsPush/pull cleaning equipment according to WA L&A standardsWork with cleaning chemicals according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration standardsMENTAL ?REQUIREMENTS:Understands, agrees and adheres to the Lead Pastor’s Expectations of StaffAligns with Life Center Vision & Values and cultureUnderstands and adheres to general and implicit instructions relevant to assigned dutiesDisplays the ability to be adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people while functioning well on a teamMust be able to calmly handle unplanned or difficult situations with efficient problem solving skills and with the evident presence of hospitality and service?WORKING CONDITIONS:Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
