From class- VI to X , in cbse pattern we study science as a whole and not as phy, chem , etc. The quantum of Syllabus happens to be less. , memory rules in maximum part of learning system , and we believe this is the method of learning . But as the quantum increases , only memory will no longer rules . We have study systematically , methodically with proper understanding to excel . Chemistry is studied through , symbol, molecular formula , formulae to solve numericals , reaction , structures , chemical equations . graphs , diagrams , through logic , experimentation ,observation , conclusion . one concept linked with others . missing link causes problem. Some rudimentary knowledge of chemistry should be the pre-requisite knowledge for studying chemistry at class- xi . Our NCERT book has sufficient concepts which should be learnt with proper understanding and applications to grasp class- XI chemistry concepts. All the activities given in NCERT Science books from class- VI to X should be revisited as a part of bridge course to enhance your practical skill and integrating oneself with the subjects. Teacher may cross the boundary of bridge course syllabus seeing the student’s performance. Bridge course syllabus is dynamic and flexible but must be target oriented to complete in targeted study hours . Diagnostic test should be taken before starting bridge course and after evaluation, syllabus framing should be done . The above syllabus is based on Minimum Level Of learning before entering into class- XI Chemistry for proper rate of growth. Important concepts dealt in chemistry part of science from class- vi to X are incorporated in the bridge course syllabus. Books referred – 1) The language of Chemistry - S.Chand and sons / any other author 2) Class IX and X NCERT books 3) Any reference book of Class IX and X 4) you-tube video clips and internet search5) NCERT-Class-XI -Chemistry .
