MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER

WCA President, Ruben Collazo, called the Voting Members Meeting to order at 7:00 PM. There were 3,138 members of the Association represented by the presence of the Voting Members. The notice was also posted on the WCA marquees on Feb 3, 2017.

IV. Minutes

Approval of Meeting Minutes for Jan 10, 2017 Monthly Meeting

Ed Siler made the motion to approve the 01/10/2017 monthly meeting minutes. Mary Griffin seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0

V. New Business

• Traffic Enforcement Officers Update (Deputy Hugh Alter)

• VM Legal Training Session (Jon Ellis, Legal Counsel – Shumaker Loop & Kendrick)

Legal training session was performed by Jon Ellis – handout provided to all VM’s of their roles/responsibilities as a VM per the CCR’s and ByLaws

• Villas of WPV Door Color Palette – Initial Approval

Having received approval from its board and other West Park Village voting members, the Villas of West Park Village want to add specific door colors to their color palette: SW#6004, # 6172, #6186, #6214, # 6243, #6258, #6601 and #7018.

Forrest Baumhover made the motion to give initial approval for the proposed door color palette for the Villas of WPV. Carl Longnecker seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0

• Vote on Annexation of The Reserve at WPV Townhomes

Ballots were distributed to the VM’s to cast their vote on annexing the Reserve at WPV into the Westchase HOA. After tallying the votes, it was unanimous that Reserve at WPV be annexed into the WCA effective immediately. A vote of 75% of the voting membership (2,609) in favor of annexing Reserve at WPV is needed. A total vote of 3,138 was received.

Rick Goldstein made the motion to accept the vote tally for annexing Reserve at WPV. Mary Griffin seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the motion passed 26-0

• Update From Government Affairs Committee (Rick Goldstein)

o Tampa Bay Rays Consortium

o Westchase Road Resurfacing Project List (provided by Joe Odda)

o Requests were made by the VM’s to have the GAC/WCA address the excessive signage issue at the commercial entities along Linebaugh – specifically those near Countryway/Linebaugh intersection and near Fifth third Bank area across from the elementary school

• Special Announcement From President

Oldsmar Mayor will be visiting and attending our March Voting Members meeting

VI. Other Business

• WOW Board Positions

o Keith Heinemann, WOW Member, requested volunteers for WOW board appointments for the March WCA Board meeting – volunteers to submit their names and bios to WCA management or directly to Keith.

o Mary Griffin announced an upcoming position with the WOW due to the resignation of Tracy Urso, to be effective in a few months upon her leave. Resumes are being requested and accepted for the position.
