1 Introduction

This document is intended to guide teachers in using the Vision Teacher application to monitor the student Chromebooks.

1.1 Prerequisites 1.1.1 Google Classroom or Clever Account

To use Vision for Chromebooks, make sure that you have one of the following: ? Google Classroom account with classrooms and enrolled students.

o For information on how to create Google classes, refer to the following link - Add a class. o For information on how students can join the classes, refer to the following link - Join a class as

a student. ? A Clever account with class rosters

o For more information on Clever, check .

1.1.2 Teacher and Student applications installed

For instructions on how to set up the required Teacher and Student applications, refer to the Admin Guide.

NOTE: If you use Clever authentication, make sure that you have gone through the instructions on how to enable Clever available in the Admin Guide.

2 Log in and Start Your Class

Vision for Chromebooks supports authentication using the G Suite and Clever. 1. Start the Netop Vision Teacher application.

NOTE: The Netop Vision Teacher application can be launched by clicking on the Netop Vision application in the Clever portal. 2. Depending on how the application is configured, authenticate using your G Suite or Clever

credentials. If prompted, allow the Teacher to use the Google ecosystem.

NOTE: If you are not starting Vision for Chromebooks for the first time, you have the option to return to the classroom from your last teaching session.

4. The list of available classes from Google Classroom (or Clever) is displayed. Click on the class you want to work with.

NOTE: If you did not create your classes yet, refer to the prerequisites section on how to do so. 5. A list of enrolled students is displayed.

NOTE: If not all the students are displayed, it could be because they have yet to join the class. Refer to the prerequisites section on how students join the class.

Vision for Chromebooks ? User Guide 6. Start the class by clicking on the Start Class ( ) button.

NOTE: Once the class starts, the button changes to a Stop Class button ( ). By clicking on the Stop Class button, the teaching session closes, and the students' Chromebooks are released. The same thing happens if you close the Netop Vision Teacher app or turn off the computer. Student cards are displayed as follows.

? The Student is not available

? The Student is seeing the notification to share the screen but has not allowed it yet
