POSITION DESCRIPTIONPOSITION TITLE: Account ManagerREVISED: November, 2017FLSA CLASSIFICATION:ExemptSUPERVISOR'S TITLE:Human Resource Client Service Manager________________________________________________________________________POSITION PURPOSEThe Account Manager is responsible for ensuring client service satisfaction, client retention, risk management, regulatory compliance, and overseeing the daily the operation of the Human Resource team for their assigned clients. Other duties may be assigned.Manage client relationships from proposal process through life cycle with TilsonConduct annual client assessment, formulate, manage Execute annual Client Action Plans with established quarterly goals.Oversee all aspects of daily service delivery of assigned client relationships; including ongoing assessment of client needs and recommendations to meet needs and increase Tilson’s perceived valueEnsure appropriate customer service expectations are met by the Tilson operational service team assigned to each clientServe as the primary Human Resources service contact and liaison between assigned client companies and TilsonServe as client point-of-contact for any feedback or corrective actions necessary by Tilson for client satisfactionCommunicate frequently with other Tilson operational team members regarding client service and elevate concerns and feedback to department heads and executive management via appropriate channelsCoordinate regulatory compliance related to worksite employees in various states, and the required notices and documentation for Tilson and/or the client relationshipEnsure human resources-related needs of worksite employees are being met in accordance with the expectations of assigned clients and applicable employment laws and regulationsOversee client awareness and facilitate education regarding changing legal and regulatory issues in Human Resources Provide recommended courses of action to assigned clients to ensure compliance to all legal rules and regulationsDeliver annual benefit plan renewal information to clients, including plan design and cost factors, and recommend contribution strategies from both client and employee perspectivePlan, coordinate, initiate and lead on-site client review and update meetingsAssist with the training and development of other Human Resource teammates, including but not limited to Human Resource Associates, Human Resource Specialists, and other Account ManagersProvide guidance to the HR Team on special areas of focus related to Human ResourcesQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s Degree requiredMinimum of 3-6 years Human Resources experience required3 years Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or multi-site/multi-state external client/customer service strongly preferredExperience working in an advisory capacity with business owners and managers on HR best practicesLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to effectively communicate (oral and written) in English with both internal and external customersAbility and experience effectively working with key decision makers (including business owners, managers, controllers); as well as being able to relate and communicate effectively with worksite employeesAbility to present in front of large and small groups on a variety of business-related and/or human resource-related topicsCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSPHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCPTECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLSWorking knowledge of email and MS Office software programs necessaryFamiliarity with popular / common HRIS systems helpfulAbility and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology toolsOTHER SKILLS and ABILITIESAbove average attention to detail necessaryOrganizational and prioritization skillsConflict and relationship management skillsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptionsMathematical skills to understand financial calculations and conduct computations, as neededPHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to stand under 1/3 of the timeAbility to walk under 1/3 of the timeAbility to sit over 2/3 of the timeAbility to talk or hear from 1/3 to 2/3 of the timeAbility to lift over 20 lbs. under 1/3 of the timeDriving to/from client sites and/or other locations for business-related purposesWORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment is that of a fast paced office with minimal to high noise levelsThis position requires working independently as well as part of a teamThis position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others on a daily basisFrequent use of a computer and cellular phone is necessaryThis position requires the use of all general office equipmentThe position requires client information be maintained appropriately confidentialThe essential duties, knowledge, skills, abilities, work environment, and physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
