POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

|POSITION: |Admissions CoUnselor/ recruiter |

|PRIMARY LOCATION: |DeKalb Campus |

|DESCRIPTION: |The Admissions Counselor/ Recruiter supports the enrollment efforts of the college by providing admissions information|

| |to prospective or newly admitted students, assisting in creating communication materials, and representing the college|

| |at on and off campus locations. This position will report to the Coordinator of Recruitment Management. |

|ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: |Presents information about the benefits of technical education. |

| |Foster and develop relationships with schools, local businesses, community organizations and other areas for |

| |recruitment. |

| |Communicates with prospective students, parents and community by providing information by telephone, written |

| |correspondence and in-person to interested parties regarding applicant procedures and admissions requirements; |

| |Receives and enters applications into the student information system; |

| |May conduct placement exams for applicants for enrollment; |

| |Ensures college and high school transcripts and verifies in-state residency; |

| |Remains up-to-date with admissions regulations, policies and procedures; |

| |Assists with registration functions; |

| |Maintains and audits student records and notify prospective students and applicants with updates to their file |

| |including admissions document requirements, programs offered, testing requirements, etc. |

| |Assist with the development of enrollment marketing materials publications and communications including letters, |

| |brochures, website postings, electronic mail and other mediums. |

| |Provides multi-campus support during registration, special events and tours. |

| |Works with Coordinator of Recruitment Management to establish activities with other divisions and departments within |

| |the college. |

| |Assist in planning implementing college wide Open Houses. |

| |Assist in planning and implementing monthly, multi-campus information sessions. |

| |May act as liaison for coordinating educational fairs at local businesses. |

| |Performs other duties as assigned |

|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: |Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university |

| |2 yrs. related work experience. |

| |Experience in Microsoft Office Suite |

|PREFERRED |Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university |

|QUALIFICATIONS: | |

| |Experience in the uses of Microsoft Office Suite and BANNER |

| |2-3 years experience in higher ed, marketing, sales or a related field. |

| |General working knowledge of federal financial aid requirements |

| |Experience working with individuals with diverse backgrounds |

| | |

|salary/benefits: |Salary for this position is $40k. This is a full-time position with paid state holidays; accrued annual and sick |
