2019 Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Information

Registration and Payment

February 1 to February 22: Exam registration begins February 1, 2019 at 12:00 a.m. and ends February 22, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. To register, students will go to:

AP/181425

Overview of Registration Process Steps:

1. Go to link: AP/181425

2. If you have registered for an AP exam in the past, please use the same email address. If you forgot the password, use the “Forgot Password” function to reset the password. If you no longer use that email address, see me to reset it.

3. Complete all sections/questions on the registration form. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THIS INFORMATION IS ACCURATE BECAUSE IT WILL BE PRE-PRINTED ON THE ANSWER SHEETS. Please make sure that you do not use nick names, do not reverse first and last names, do not enter parent names for student names, etc.

4. Carefully check exams, teachers, and periods for which you have registered. (Exam names and schedule are on the back of this letter.)

5. Make payment online ($98 per exam which includes a 4% processing fee) with Total Registration. AP Seminar and AP Research have a cost of $146 due to College Board’s charge being higher for those exams.

6. Students eligible for free or reduced cost lunches at school qualify for funding to cover some or all of the cost of AP exams. Students will indicate this during registration, it will be verified, and then they will be able to pay the balance (if necessary) and print a copy of the confirmation page once verification is complete. Print payment confirmation page for your records. Registration is complete when you are able to print a confirmation page.

February 23 to February 28: Late registrants (after February 22) will pay a late fee of $25.

March 1 to March 12: See Ms. Howard for registration during this period as you will not be able to register online. Registration will completely end March 12 at 11:59 pm.

A refund will be given (minus a $25 cancellation fee per exam) for cancelled exams as long as it is before test day.

Pre-administration

We will not have pre-administration sessions this year! We usually catch some students who have not registered when we have pre-administration. All students will need to ensure that they have registered for exams or else there is no guarantee that there will be an exam for them on test day.

Test day

The AP exam schedule is given below. Students MUST take the exams on the days scheduled. Make-up exams will be given only under circumstances approved by the College Board. Students who have a testing conflict (two exams on the same day at the same time) will have an alternate test date scheduled

Depending on the number of students taking a particular exam, we might give an exam off campus. Transportation to and from the exams tested off campus will be the student’s responsibility.

If you have any AP questions please contact Rachael Howard at rachael.howard@fayette.kyschools.us in the counseling office.
