Spanish 1- Comic Strip project (Las tiras cómicas)
Step 1: Go to
Step 2: Watch the demo if you need help figuring out how to build your comic strip.
Step 3: Choose enter here, “comience aquí” to begin.
Step 4: Choose 2 characters from the picture list that you want to describe. These characters will be included in your comic strip throughout the semester. You can use different emotions/ poses with the same characters.
* To change your character’s emotion/ pose click on the red arrows to scroll through the choices.
* Use the tools on the left column to:
Move, Flip, Scale (make them bigger or smaller) your items
To delete: Click on the trashcan then the item. Click OFF the trashcan to continue working.
Step 5: After adding the characters, you add in talk balloons. Then, In the 1st frame have each character introduce himself or herself. Make up names for each character. Make your characters have an “conversation to introduce themselves” as we learned in lesson Preliminar (pgs. 2-3, 6-7)
To type accents: Hold down alt + the codes below, release and get the letter. Number lock must be on.

Or use: to type in Spanish and then paste into your comic strip.
Step 6: In the 2nd and 3rd frames have each character describe their characteristics (tall, short, smart, fat etc). Use the verb ser conjugated correctly and adjectives from Chp. 1-2. Make sure the adjectives agree with the noun that they modify.
Extras: You can add in “objects”. Just click on the phone and then scroll through your choices.
If you would like to add an extra box, you can make your strip 4 boxes instead of 3.
Step 7: Add a “to be continued” box at the bottom.
Step 8: Hit next and then print. After you hit print, email yourself a copy so you can go back and get it later if you need to.
Step 9: You will be creating 2 more comic strips during the semester to complete this project. For each comic strip you will be graded using the following rubric:
