Sophie De Young had knee surgery this past week and returned home again. We pray for continued healing.
Dear Immanuel family,
We thank you so much for all your gracious support over the last few months during my cancer journey. Your gifts, meals, visits but especially your prayers are so appreciated.
I am finished with my chemo and am only receiving a preventative treatment every 3 weeks until March 2018 (no more side effects).
We do ask for prayer on Monday, September 25. I will have reconstructive surgery with a recovery time of 1-2 weeks. Thank you for the blessing you are in our lives.

Reverse Offering – October 1-15
The deacons will have a Reverse Offering next Sunday, October 1, for the Love INC Food Pantry. During the 3rd offering, please take a slip of paper that lists some needed items. Please place your donations under the Giving Tree by Sunday, October 15.
Crop Walk – October 8
Guess what time it is? It's time to dust off those walking shoes and get them ready for the Crop Walk on Oct. 8th!!!
We are excited to have more churches involved this year and the starting location is at 12th Avenue CRC in Jenison (corner of 12th Ave. and Baldwin). We would love to have a ton of walkers represented from Immanuel so come see either Holly Postma or Marge Vande Steeg after the morning services in the foyer to sign up and grab a collection envelop. You can also collect your pledges online at and sign up under our Immanuel Team. Let's go and raise some money not only for our community but for communities around the world including those affected right here in the USA affected by the hurricanes!!!
You can turn your collection envelops in on the 8th beginning at 1PM @ 12th Ave. CRC and the walk will begin at 1:30PM. Don't forget to wear your old T-shirts if you have them! We are looking forward to another great year!!
Hand2Hand
For the month of September, we are collecting 100% juice boxes and small, 10 oz, bags of white rice. Please place your donations in the shopping cart under the youth bulletin board.
Meals for New City Kids
You can make a difference! We are partnering with New City Kids again this season by providing meals on Monday nights for the Worship Team and possibly some Wednesday nights for the Brighter Day group. If you like to bake or cook please consider making a difference in the lives of those who are a part of New City Kids. Please call Phyllis Wigger (669-0594) to become a part of this special ministry.
Flu Shot Clinic – October 11
We are hosting a flu shot clinic on Wednesday, October 11, from 4-7PM. Anyone 9 years and older is eligible; insurance is accepted. Look for the sign-up poster in the FLC foyer.

Hudsonville Christian School’s Faith Campaign is underway, with a campaign goal this year to raise $250,000 to be used for building maintenance and tuition assistance for families who need help. Free Women’s Livestream Conference! Hillcrest CRC invites all women on September 29 & 30 for the Revive 17 presented by Revive Our Hearts. The theme is Adorned: Women Mentoring Women the Titus 2 Way. MIP (Moms in Prayer) is an International Prayer Ministry where moms pray together for their children and their schools. Hymn Sing
Join us tonight for our annual hymn sing to benefit Mississippi Christian Family Services. It will be held at the Baldwin St CRC, 2101 Baldwin St in Jenison at 7:30PM. Cliff Doornbos will be the director accompanied by many musicians. The men's chorus, Hope Heralds, will again bring their wonderful music. Join us for a night of praise to God in song.

Join Right to Life of Holland Area at the National Life Chain on Sunday, October 1, from 2-3PM beginning near 16th St & Fairbanks in Holland. Life Chain is a pro-life, peaceful, prayerful public witness on behalf of the unborn at risk of elective abortion. Signs to hold during the prayer vigil will be provided. This is a Prayer Vigil so we do ask for those who attend to be fairly silent or to speak quietly.

The Mommy & Me Pantry, is a ministry of Coit CRC. This ministry is partnered with Alpha Women's Center, Cradles of Grace, and Strong Beginnings. Through these agencies Young Mothers that are in need, and participating in their programs are referred to the Mommy & Me Pantry for Baby and Mommy items that can be difficult to purchase when you are on a fixed income. For 50 years, since 1967, Audio Scripture Ministries in Holland has helped missionaries and others give the Bible to thousands of people who cannot read one.
