Last week, we showed you how to request photos or graphics from Shutterstock under UAB's paid license. This week, we'll look at the top 5 sites we recommend for finding copyright free images and videos.

1. has nearly 1 million images, vectors and videos to choose from. All are released free of copyrights and can be downloaded, modified and distributed without attribution.

2. Photos on are also free of copyrights under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. Find free stock videos on .

3. Images from are free for personal and non-commercial (educational) use only. They may not be used to promote a product or service.

4. is a large Public Domain photo repository. While you're there, check out the page of photo editing tutorials.

5. has a limited number of CC0 photos to choose from, but images are crisp and dynamic. Download them to use anywhere.

Before using images, be sure to read the license info and/or FAQ on each site. Minor restrictions may apply.
