COSTA RICA:

Guanacaste has become one on the most exciting places to discover. Located in the North Pacific area of Costa Rica, this province of 10.141 square kilometers captures far-fetched natural jewels and ocean marvels. Its natural parks, marvelous beaches and spectacular sunsets create a unique environment for luxury and exclusive properties. Featuring a tropical weather all year round, the region has a pleasant summer, characterized by lively landscapes of dry forest.

Seasons

The region of Guanacaste features two different seasons: One is the “Golden Season”, with dry climate and full of sunny days. It is the most popular time to visit Guanacaste. It goes from November to April. The other one is the “Green Season”, when the rains starts and the vegetation turns green by the coast. The rainiest months usually are September and October.

Due to the geographical location close to the Equator, the amount of light is around 12 hours, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., depending on the month.

Population

Guanacaste has the lowest population density in Costa Rica, approximately 30, people per square kilometer. The main city of the province is Liberia.

Economy

The main industry in Guanacaste is tourism. Another important activity in the province is agriculture based on products such as mango, rice, sugar cane, and watermelon. Cattle-raising is another traditional activity that tourists can observe in Guanacaste.
