This Housing Directory provides a geographical listing of senior apartments for individuals 55 years of age and older who can live independently with minimal assistance. HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER (HCV)- Provides subsidized housing assistance for very low-income families, the elderly and the disabled, allowing them to live in safe, quality affordable housing in the private market. Contact Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority at 614-421-6000 for more information. MARKET RATE (MR)- The tenant pays the full rent amount of these apartments. SUBSIDIZED (S)- Rent subsidies are provided and are approximately 30% of the tenant's adjusted income. TAX CREDIT (TC)- Low Income Tax Credit is a fund awarded to developers to build or renovate rental housing for low income residents. These funds reduce the debt the developer would incur if borrowing funds from a financial lender. This savings allows the builder to offer rent at a more affordable rate to tenants. Please contact the property manager for further information regarding any senior apartment listed.
