New Visa requirements for traveling to the Dominican Republic

According to Law No. 875 on Visas, foreigners travelling to the Dominican Republic must be in possession of visas in their travel document, issued in one of our consulates, except nationals of countries with which the Dominican Republic has agreements on visa waivers and for nationals of countries allowed to visit the country with a tourist card, given that the reason for the visit is for tourism purposes.

The tourist card is a tax that the Dominican Republic charges to the foreigners visiting the country. It can be obtained directly at the airport upon arrival. Some tour operators include the tourist card in their offers.
