Floral City Strawberry Festival Craft Vendor Application / Event RulesThe Citrus County Chamber of Commerce thanks you for your interest in being a vendor at the 2021Floral City Strawberry Festival. Please carefully read the following rules necessary for vendors toparticipate in the event.Submitting this application DOES NOT guarantee you a booth at the Festival. ALL applications will bereviewed for approval. You will be notified by email within 30 days as to whether your application hasbeen accepted.Vendor selection and approval is at the sole discretion of the Chamber staff. The Citrus CountyChamber of Commerce retains the right to reject any vendor application.All applications and payment must be received by February 21, 2020.Space assignments are made based on the best interest of the event. Vendors do not select theirlocation.This application neither implies nor grants any preferential consideration or location.Roaming vendors are not permitted.No vendor may sublet, bring in representation of a secondary commercial or charity to jointly work avendor booth, switch product line of what has been approved or change the name of what's beenapproved to be posted to identify the vendor at the event.Vendor applications will not be processed without full payment.This event will be held rain or shine. This is an outdoor event with possible uneven terrain, inclementweather and wind gusts.Vehicles (cars, trucks, trailers, golf carts) are not part of a vendor space. Vehicles must enter thesetup area to drop off tent and supplies and immediately relocate the vehicle to park in one of thedesignated parking areas. No vehicle will be permitted on event grounds after the vendor setupperiod ends. This will be strictly enforced.Vendors will receive a parking pass to park in a designated area upon check in. Parking passes mustbe displayed on the vehicle dashboard and be clearly visible.Vendors MUST be in place and set up by 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. If not, they may be turnedaway and/or rejected for future events.Vendors must be presentable and polite to all event attendees, volunteers and employees. Excellentcustomer service is essential.Your booth must be open and staffed during all hours of the event: Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday9 a.m. to 4 p.m.All vendors must use a solid non-flammable free standing tent in good condition, without tears orstains, and securely weighted down. Tents must have the ability to withstand strong winds.All vendors are responsible for providing their own supplies needed to operate including, but notlimited to, tents, tables, chairs, trash receptacles, trash bags, lighting, weights, etc.Electricity is not available for purchase at this event. If you require electricity you must use a quietgenerator.No smoking or vaping in the vendor space at any time. You must walk away from your vendor spaceso that you do not bother festival attendees and other vendors.No vendors with materials that link to, show or infer sexual content.No vendors that conduct or encourage illegal or unethical activity.Booth space must remain clean throughout the weekend. Plan to keep extra inventory, boxes, trash,etc. out of the display area or under covered tables.Vendors must dispose of all trash in one of the 3 event dumpsters. Booth space must be left cleanafter tear-down; no trash, trash bags, empty boxes or debris may be left behind.Moving, trading, sharing or relocating assigned space is prohibited.No bullhorns or megaphones, flashing lights or strobes, speakers or sound amplification is permitted.All work must be original and handmade in the United States.Crafts are defined as works made by hand or with the use of simple tools, showing imagination andthe mark of the craftsperson’s individuality. Items sold must have some type of skill or craft applied tothe product and must contain at least 50% original work that defines it as unique.All crafts displayed for sale must be substantively produced by the hands, using traditional noncomputer assisted or mechanical means that remove the actual guidance of the crafter’s hands.Tying a bow around a wholesale item, gluing a clasp, pin, artificial flowers or rhinestone to awholesale item, or adding a patch or applique to an article of clothing, is not considered ahandmade craft and is not allowed.Mass produced food items are not considered a craft and shall not be sold by vendors in the craftportion of the festival.No mold-made or repeated items with only slight variations permitted.No work which has been made with commercial kits, purchased molds, patterns, plans orprefabricated pieces is allowed.Some examples of what is not eligible appear below. This does not constitute a complete list:? Commercially manufactured art? Work assembled (wholly or in part) from commercially available kits? Two-dimensional art such as paintings, prints, or photographs? Mixed media work that uses paint and canvas as its primary medium? Screen-printed material? Etchings or web or sheet-fed offset printed work? Works that incorporates materials acquired from the killing of endangered species? Elephant/mammoth ivory (this includes fossilized ivory)? Dried or silk flower arrangements? Books? Apparel (this includes hats)? Bonsai? Food? Embellished commercially-made objects (such as T-shirts, hats, sunglasses, note cards, etc.)Vendors may not sell or create items bearing the event name or likeness.If your application is accepted, it will be a commitment to show and remain for the entireevent. Vendors who leave before the closing of the event will not be permitted to enter in futurefestivals. NO EXCEPTIONS.Approximately one week prior to the event, all vendors will receive detailed vendor information,including a placement map.The Chamber expects that the vendor's booth and products will resemble the photo depictionssubmitted with the application both in quality and appearance.All aspects of the event are subject to modification. We reserve the right to alter the layout and/ormove vendors as needed.The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to cancel the event in total or in part.No refunds will be given unless prior notification is received 60 days before the event, no matter theapplication date. Refunds will be at the Chamber's discretion. There are no refunds for no shows.Vendors will be responsible to fully comply with the Florida State Sales Tax Regulations in effect duringthe period of the event. Violation of any rules could constitute immediate removal from the event and prohibit attendance at future events. No vehicles will be permitted into the event area for tear down until cleared by the appropriate personnel and the Citrus County Sheriff's Office. No exceptions. ................
