Directions:

• You do not need to start with number one.

1. Using the Internet, research the history of candy corn. How many candy corns are made each year? What is the ingredient(s) for candy corn?

ASSIGNMENT: Create a fun recipe using candy corn. Your recipe does NOT have to be edible. Be sure to list the ingredients first. One ingredient MUST be candy corn. Then list the instructions on how to put everything together. Key this recipe into Microsoft Word.

2. What website(s) did you use for the information in question 1? Copy the web address (also called URL) to your Word document. Save your documents to your student folder (FILE, SAVE AS, COMPUTER, find and open your folder – look for your lunch number).

3. Find a yummy, EDIBLE Halloween recipe. Print your recipe and take it home.

Find some stationery that you like and print 1 page. You may take your page home or give it to a friend as a gift.

5. Find a pattern for a ‘friendly ghost flag’. Print your pattern and take it home.

6. What supplies do you need to make the ‘friendly ghost flag’? Write your answer into your Word document. Use the QUICK SAVE to save your document (upper left side of your screen, click on the picture of the floppy disk).

Pick up your print out and use it when you are bored.

8. Little brothers and sisters love to color. Print out 1 or 2 pages of Halloween pictures to color from . Take the pages home and give them to your little brothers and sisters.

Use markers to add their faces OR print out the faces from the website. Cutyou’re your ghosts, glue or draw their faces, take your project home to hang in your windows.

10. Save the picture found at: to your student folder (FILE, SAVE AS, COMPUTER, open your student folder – look for your student ID/Lunch number).

Use the picture as a coloring page or create a greeting card or poster.

Take your puzzle home.

12. Study the pictures on website:

Now get a plain white piece of paper from your teacher/near the printer. Draw your own ghosts. Take your ghosts home.
