--three body paragraphs

--conclusion paragraph

Make a collage that shows the major theme of the story.

Your collage should have the theme clearly written within the collage, which can contain words and pictures.

Create a mock TV interview about the events of the story. Come up with at least 10 questions and 10 corresponding responses that will give insight on the characters, but also explain the theme and events in the story.

Compare and contrast the protagonists in two stories.

Must include:

--intro. paragraph

--three body paragraphs

--conclusion paragraph

Choose a song that you feel represents the short story. You could choose one song that represents the story as a whole, represents certain important moments, or that you believe accurately describes a character’s feelings and their journey throughout the story. How does the song relate? Explain the connection you believe the song has to the story by writing at least two paragraphs.

Imagine you are one of the characters in the short story. Write a journal entry from the point of view of this character during an important event for that character. Include specific details about setting, dialogue, and events. Especially take care to describe what you believe your chosen character would have been feeling during the important moments in the short story.

Develop a plotline for the short story with at least ten entries and the time elapsed between each entry. Each entry needs to have at least 3 sentences describing the event that occurred. You can also include pictures of the events to make the timeline more visually appealing. Make a final copy of this timeline on a sheet of white printer paper.

Develop either A) a book cover for the short story that illustrates either a character from the short story or events from the story, or B) a comic book version of the short story.

With your work, include a short paragraph explaining why your artwork is representative of the short story. Be prepared to show and explain this work to the class.

Write an alternate ending.
